Tohatsu’s 5hp Outboard motor delivers outstanding fuel economy and reliability second to none. The Tohatsu 5hp Model MFS5DS comes equipped with a 15 inch short shaft and is a great source of portable power for jon boats, skiffs, and inflatables, as well as auxiliary power for sailboats and “kickers” for larger fishing boats. The new MFS5DS also comes equipped with the newly designed top and bottom cowls based on Tohatsu Design Philosophy for Marine Products, 3-way storage positions without worrying about oil spill, ultra-low emission, EPA and CARB 3-Star rating approved, and the newly designed Tohatsu unique front and back carrying handles for easier transportation. The Tohatsu 5hp outboard engine shares many 4hp features with the added benefit of a larger carburetor and propeller for increased performance. Fuel is delivered via a portable 3.1 gallon external fuel tank and fuel line (included).
